Brian Hargrove hails from the Lone Star State of Texas and now resides in Los Angeles where he is finishing his degree in Music Industry at the University of Southern California.  As the younger brother of famous trumpeter Roy Hargrove, music is definitely in his blood.  His focus lies in classical percussion and composition, and the piano has been a relatively recent pursuit.

"I began picking up the piano back in high school," says Brian, which tends to shock people after hearing how much dexterity, technical proficiency, and emotion he has at the keyboard.  Often referred to as a piano prodigy, Brian has worked hard to develop and tame his talents.  "It's just like anything else in life," he says.  "If you love something enough, nothing else really matters... The hours of work you put into it don't feel like work."
